Troubling Threats to Our Religious Freedom
Bereans,
My post will be short this week due to some unforeseen technical issues I've experienced today that put me way behind schedule. However, the video I've included has quite enough to say on its own, so I don't need to provide a lot of commentary. In this segment of Tucker Carlson Tonight he lists several examples of the government (U.S. and Canadian) being weaponized against Christians in a very biased way.
Note: I do not endorse all of Mr. Carlson's points in this video, particularly when he refers to all religions as following God. It is clear that governing authorities are increasingly intolerant of people who look to God as a higher authority, and that they are becoming more bold in abusing their power to crush Christian dissent. These authorities are stepping outside of the boundaries that God set for them (Romans 13:1-7). I do believe his analysis of their hatred for Christians is spot on.
Of particular note in this video is Mr. Carlson's boldness in calling out so-called "evangelical" leaders who have remained silent. He is absolutely correct that people who are held up as defenders of the faith (e.g. Russell Moore, Tim Keller, Beth Moore) are quick to call out anything they see as a sin within the church, but they are noticeably quiet when the people from whom they want to have a favorable opinion begin to persecute the church.

Let's be sure to pray for those governing authorities, while at the same time rebuking those who call themselves Christians who do not defend the church of Christ against the attacks of unbelievers.
Grace and peace to you,
J.W.
