“The more you know about Christ, the less you will be satisfied with superficial views of him.”

– C.H. SPURGEON

“Works not rooted in God are splendid sins.”

– AUGUSTINE

“More often than not, the thorn we want gone is the very thing God is using to accomplish something good in us. Paul’s weakened condition made room for the strength of Christ, a strength he would need for all that lay ahead.”

– LYDIA BROWNBACK | TRUST

"This book [the Bible] will keep you from sin, or sin will keep you from this book."

– JOHN OWEN

Never use the expression, ‘You can’t teach an old dog new tricks,’ to refer to your need to change. You’re not a dog, you’re made in the image of God, and God calls you to change to be more like Him no matter your age.

– DR. JOHN STREET

"Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom He hath chosen for His own inheritance."

- PSALM 33:12

"You won’t stop judging others until you stop seeing yourself as a measure of righteousness.”

- JOE THORN | NOTE TO SELF
