Explaining the Madness to Unbelievers, Using the Example of Transgenderism

The transgender madness continues its march unabated, weaving its lies deeper into the fabric of our society, with many people who you would have thought were sane buying into this delusion.  

The following articles are illustrations of how much this is being treated as "normal" and how even questioning it has become taboo. When you read the story about Kirk Cameron being denied access in all 50 public libraries that he asked permission to read his new book about family values--despite the fact that these libraries also allowed "Drag Queen Story Hour"--you'll feel as if blood could shoot out your eyeballs at any moment.

As Christians, we cannot give in to anger or discouragement because of this.  We must use news like this to tell our family, friends, co-workers, and neighbors:  "The Bible has much to say about these things, and even prophesied that the last times would be like this." You can cite this: "And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper, being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice; they are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, without understanding, untrustworthy, unloving, unmerciful" (Romans 1:28-31).  

So many words in this passage describe transgenderism, most appropriate of which are "inventors of evil" and "without understanding."  No one denies that this wasn't even a thing 5-6 years ago, nor would anyone have foreseen that we would reach a place where the only politically acceptable answer to the question of the definition of a woman is "I don't know."  

Or how about this one: "Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its lusts, and do not go on presenting the members of your body to sin as instruments of unrighteousness; but present yourselves to God as those alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God" (Romans 6:12-13).  

Confidently (not angrily) tell the unbelievers in your life that the Bible has always asserted that sinners are enslaved to their sin, and they do what their master (sin) tells them, even to their own hurt.  This is evidenced in such things as their destructive lifestyle choices, their desires for false teachings, their subservience to governing authorities who exploit them for votes and money, and their financial bondage to things (medications, entertainment, material possessions) that they use to avoid facing the real problem in their hearts.  

The Bible says clearly that mankind is fighting an insurrection against God and His commands.  They will do anything to deny the Creator and cast off His righteous rule over them (see Psalm 2:1-3).  If Christians are faithful to point out to unbelievers what the Bible already says about them, then God will perhaps use that realization to draw them unto Himself.

Don't miss the opportunity to explain the origin of the increasing, rising tide of sinful, rebellious insanity to unbelievers, and show them how this is nothing new or unexpected for those who know their God and His Word.
