The Heavens Declare the Glory of God!

As we have been studying in our Church History course, one of the chief ways liberal secularists have undermined the name and character of God in the minds of the public has been through their unflinching advocacy of evolution. Man has always denied the existence of God and over the centuries has devised many ways to "explain" the creation apart from Him. Some of these man-made explanations have been very creative, but evolution is the one that has gained the most traction. Secularists have religiously embraced it because pragmatically, they see how effective it has been to their anti-God cause. Undoubtedly, this lie that robs the Creator of His glory has deceived many hearts and minds, even confusing many spiritually immature Christians (Romans 16:18).
However, because evolution is a lie, it has many "cracks" that will eventually be exposed under the light of truth. The very science that evolutionists have claimed supports their theory is what will inevitably bring their falsehoods crashing down. In the early decades of evolutionary theory, the discoveries of fossils and the ability to see further into space were key advances in "science" that they used to convince people that the earth had to be very old. They made such claims as: no soft matter could survive in fossils more than a few thousand years, and the galaxies at the edge of the universe are newly developing because of their distance from the "Big Bang."
Now, ironically, scientific advances have provided the means to prove that many fossils have remaining soft tissue and that the galaxies at the edge of the universe are actually as mature as those at the center. Genuine science is now showing that what the evolutionists said could not possibly be true if the universe is old, is actually true. Therefore, by their own words, the universe must be young!
The truth is built into creation itself, as the psalms tell us that "the heavens are telling the glory of God and the expanse is declaring the work of His hands" (Ps. 19:1). When we consider the heavens and the work of His fingers, we will know that these things did not come about by random forces (Ps. 8). All the universe belongs to God because He created everything in it (Ps. 89:11), therefore any man who tries to steal His glory had better beware because the creation should be studied for the purpose of glorifying its Creator (Ps. 111:1-2)!
As Bereans, we take delight in the universe our God has so expertly crafted in His infinite wisdom. Give praise to Him and take every opportunity to refute any glory thief who embraces lies that smear Yahweh!
