All ideas have consequences.  Foolish ideas have destructive consequences.  The willful embrace of foolishness by sinners leads to their own ruin and destruction (Prov. 1:22, 32).  The adherents of the climate change religion are bringing these biblical truths to light more than ever.  

For example, I mentioned in our Church History course Sunday night that followers of the climate religion have infiltrated the Dutch government and convinced them to destroy 30% of the cattle in the Netherlands.  Why?  Because cows produce gas that causes global warming!  Yes, the second largest beef exporting country in the world is being forced to reduce its cattle population because of cow flatulence!  It takes an extreme leap of faith to believe that this entire planet hangs in the balance because of cows passing gas.  Professing to be wise, they became fools.  That's some kind of religion!

The climate alarmists don't even have to establish their own priesthood when they can use attention-starved religious leaders who desperately desire to be relevant in the world's eyes.  Pope Francis is one of the most egregious examples of those who proclaim the climate gospel instead of the true gospel.

One of the saddest, and most wicked aspects of the climate religion is that it calls bad what God calls good.  In the Genesis 1-2 creation account, God declared that forming man was His ultimate act of creation, primarily because he is made in God's image.  He further told man to be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth, all before the Fall.  The climate alarmists relentlessly preach that man is the earth's biggest problem, and they call for radical population control.  These two tenets are lies from Satan that are exact opposites of what God Himself said in Genesis 1-2.  Unfortunately, this false religion is having a devastating impact on the population, which I believe is intentional, and part of their ultimate goal.  (I'll have more on this in a future edition.)

While Satan and those who refuse to submit to God have turned truth upside-down, believers must continue to stand on the truths that man is made in the image of God and we are given dominion over the creation to steward it, not destroy it.
