Wisdom from "Two Johns"

Bereans,

I have many thoughts to share about the election and the state of affairs in our nation.  Particularly saddening are the four state-level abortion measures that passed (promoting abortion) or failed (attempting to limit abortion), including a measure that failed in Montana that would have required doctors to keep alive a child born after a botched abortion.  

However, I still need time to process and pray over these things before I speak, so that I do not speak out of my own passions but from Scripture's perspective.  Hopefully, I can have those reflections ready for you next week.  

Additionally, I want you to be encouraged to fight the fight of faith, which is with the weapon of Scripture, not politics or the temporal power of governing authorities.

I want to encourage you this week by sharing a question and answer video interview of John Piper and John MacArthur from the recent Puritan conference held in Los Angeles.  The wisdom shared by these "two Johns" who have had such a significant impact on the true church in our day is something that can benefit us all.  I'm grateful to the Lord for giving us men like them to provide gospel clarity in these times of deep darkness and confusion.  They touch on a wide array of topics, and I pray you'll be edified by it. Scripture tells us to remember men like this and to imitate their faith (Hebrews 18:7).
